Daniel Singer, MEd, PhD

Hey, there! I'm Dan

As the owner and principal learning designer of Do Good Learning, Writing, and Strategy, I work with social and environmental good-oriented businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions on strategic learning design and the kinds of specialized instructional opportunities and challenges we have when the mission is bigger than the bottom line.

Over the years, I have worked on everything from UN Foundation projects with international entrepreneurs to local urban public transit; from regional youth substance abuse prevention to domestic refugee resettlement; and lots of others across issue areas and industries.

I devote most of my working hours to folks aiming at systems-level impacts from established, highly network-connected, small-to-medium sized organizations--and I'd love hear what you're working on!

When a group is trying to do meaningful good for others from a position of expertise, interconnection, and ethical practice, I support their work and their people by:

I help folks who help others. Like a little (volunteer) expert help?

I set time aside on time most weeks for free 30-minute problem-solving sessions with nonprofits, community groups, and volunteer-led initiatives on a first-come, first-served basis.

Book one of the available times below for a free session--if I can help, I will! And be sure to include details about your organization and/or project so I can prepare a bit ahead of our conversation.

Most recently, I've had the good fortune to work with visionary climate justice-oriented architecture, engineering, and construction industry professionals on instructional design and learning strategy in communications and training, with groups of educators on Generative AI for professional and educational development, and on a set of developing research projects around adult emotional-readiness-to-learn and what I've been calling "public enablement" (the process of infusing skills development and performance-based training design directly into public messaging campaigns and paradigmatic change projects).
